William N. Griffin

Deceased December 18, 2024
Will began his real estate law practice in 1969 as an associate with Matthews and Matthews. He continued his practice for over fifty years with the firm Griffin, Clift, Everton, and Maschmeyer, PLLC. He was also a land developer, home builder, and a banker with acquisitions of three community banks in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
His Christian journey was centered around First Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and coach. In recent years, he was a member of Independent Presbyterian Church and attended when his health permitted.
Will was dedicated to his family, friends, church, and loved to encourage young people! He found summer jobs in the law office for many (even though they were not always needed) who have said his influence changed their lives. His family enjoyed vacation homes in Pickwick and Destin, Florida. Will and Elise made many trips to Europe where they loved collecting paintings and antiques.
